How does AdMute work?

AdMute automatically detects advertisements on streaming platforms using advanced CSS selectors and DOM monitoring. When an ad is detected, it temporarily mutes your browser tab until the ad ends. No ads are blocked - just muted for a better viewing experience.
Which streaming services are supported?

Free Tier: YouTube with 10 mutes per day
Premium: YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Twitch, and Spotify with unlimited muting.

The extension isn't detecting ads on a service

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Click the AdMute extension icon, then "Upgrade to Premium". Choose monthly ($1.99/month) or yearly ($9.99/year) plans. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes! Go to your dashboard and click "Manage Billing" to cancel anytime. You'll retain premium access until your current billing period ends.
Is my data private and secure?

Absolutely. We only collect usage metrics (ads muted, time saved) and your email for authentication. No browsing data, video content, or personal information is collected. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
The extension is muting content that isn't ads

This is rare but can happen if streaming services change their interface. Please contact support with the specific service and video where this occurred so we can adjust our detection algorithms.
How many devices can I use Premium on?

Premium accounts can be used on up to 3 devices simultaneously. If you need to use it on a new device, sign out from an old device first or contact support.
